Mrs. Spicer is a Lehman High School graduate and earned her bachelor’s degree in elementary education from Ohio State University. Prior to joining the Piqua Catholic staff, she was a substitute teacher for Holy Angels School, Sidney City, and Shelby County Schools. To continually learn and grow, just as she wishes for her students, Mrs. Spicer takes courses each summer and eagerly returns each fall with new ideas. Believing that life skills are vital to a child’s future success, Mrs. Spicer makes learning to life a cornerstone of her classroom setting. She incorporates authentic, relevant, practical opportunities in her curriculum so students see how their education is relevant to daily life. She is passionate that children become responsible, respectful members of the classroom community. Mrs. Spicer is an ardent sports fan who enjoys watching Ohio State Buckeyes football games and Cincinnati Reds baseball games. She also loves spending time with her husband and three children, and tending to her wonderful garden.
