
Mrs. Joyce Thornberry

Mrs. Thornberry has been teaching math and science at Piqua Catholic School for 33 years! She holds a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from St. Mary-of-the-Woods College in Indiana. A grant from the Ohio Board of Regents allowed Mrs. Thornberry to earn a master’s degree in Middle School Science from Wright State University. Her passion for teaching and molding the minds of students is evident in all she does for Piqua Catholic. She is committed to sharing her love for math and science in hopes that she inspires students to recognize the importance of these subjects. In order to enhance the learning experience, Mrs. Thornberry regularly writes and receives grants for special projects, experiments and supplies. During the summer she returns to the College of Wooster where she teaches Earth Science in the B-WISER program. Mrs. Thornberry and her husband have three children and seven grandchildren.
