We join together in prayer and sorrow after the tragic events that occurred today at Annunciation
Catholic School in Minneapolis. Hearing about another school shooting is heartbreaking, and this one
feels especially close to home, as we too are a small Catholic school community.
The safety and well-being of your children will always be our highest priority. In light of today’s
events, our staff is remaining especially vigilant and attentive to our surroundings. We are also deeply
grateful for our local law enforcement partners, including our school resource officer from the Miami
County Sheriff’s Department, who spent extra time at both of our campuses today, along with officers
from the Piqua Police Department present during dismissal, to support the safety and security of our
students.
Please continue to keep the victims, their families, and the Annunciation Catholic School community
in your prayers. Together, may we place our trust in God’s protection and peace.
